What it is
Treatment aimed at helping the appearance of scars and stretch marks — their texture, and how much they stand out against the surrounding skin. It is priced by the measured size of the area treated.
How it works
The approach is chosen at consultation based on the scar itself. Age, type, colour and texture all change what is appropriate. A raised scar is approached differently from a flat white stretch mark.
Good fit for
- Stretch marks from pregnancy, growth or weight change
- Surgical or injury scars that have fully healed
- The appearance of acne scarring on the body
Suitability is assessed individually at consultation. Some treatments are not appropriate for everyone.

Results and what to expect
This treatment aims to help scars and marks look less noticeable. It does not remove them — no treatment does. Older white stretch marks generally respond less than newer red ones. Results vary considerably and a course is always needed.
Safety and common effects
Most people notice some of the following. They are temporary and expected rather than a problem:
- Redness and warmth of the treated area
- Tenderness for a day or two
- Light flaking depending on the approach used

Aftercare
Keep the area protected and moisturised as directed, avoid friction over it, and use strict sun protection — sun exposure makes scars more noticeable, not less.

Common questions
Will my stretch marks be removed?
No. The honest answer is that no treatment removes stretch marks. The goal is to help them look less noticeable in texture and colour, and results vary considerably.
Do older stretch marks respond?
Generally less than newer ones. Red and purple marks are more responsive than white, settled ones. Your practitioner will tell you where yours sit.
How is it priced?
By the measured size of the treatment area, in bands from 5 × 5 cm to 30 × 30 cm. See the price page.
Can surgical scars be treated?
Once fully healed, usually yes. Bring details of when the surgery was and how the scar has behaved since.
Would camouflage suit me better?
For some scars, paramedical camouflage produces a more satisfying result than treatment does. Both are discussed at consultation so you can choose.
How many sessions?
A course is always needed. The number is estimated at consultation based on the specific scar.
