What it is
Microneedling applied to the scalp rather than the face, at depths and spacing suited to that area. It is used to support scalp condition alongside whatever else forms part of your routine.
How it works
The scalp is sectioned and treated systematically. Serums may be applied afterwards depending on what your practitioner recommends and what you are already using.

Suitability is assessed individually at consultation. Some treatments are not appropriate for everyone.

Results and what to expect
Hair responds slowly by nature. Any change is assessed over months rather than weeks, requires a sustained course, and varies considerably between individuals. This treatment does not diagnose or treat hair loss conditions — see a doctor about the cause.
Safety and common effects
Most people notice some of the following. They are temporary and expected rather than a problem:
- Scalp tenderness for a day or two
- Redness across treated sections
- Mild flaking

Aftercare
No washing for 24 hours, no styling products for 48 hours, and no direct sun on the scalp for a few days.

Common questions
Will this regrow my hair?
It is a supportive treatment, not a cure, and we cannot promise regrowth. Hair loss has many causes, several of them medical. Please see a doctor about the underlying cause alongside any supportive treatment.
How many sessions?
A sustained course is needed, typically monthly over several months, and reviewed as you go.
Can I have it if I use minoxidil?
Tell your practitioner what you use. Timing around treatment matters and will be discussed at consultation.
Does it hurt?
The scalp is more sensitive than the face for some people. Numbing options are discussed beforehand.
When can I wash my hair?
After 24 hours, with a gentle shampoo.
